All of his works depict fantastic world of his own, surrealistic in vision, both by way of his delineation and handling of colours. Some sort of autobiographical elements can be seen in some of them. Most of his works are in acrylics or oil and he has done several drawings in his inimitable style on paper. He has achieved exceptional results in his chosen creative media with his skill and gained remarkable technical expertise. The drawings, as well as paintings, are delicate and executed in masterly strokes. The placements of these elements in the pictorial space in his creative works give a dream-like vision.” – Balan Nambiar

Saraswati's way - till Sunday 24th @ 15.30 & 18.30

chronicle of a death foretold | Gabriel Garcia Marquez - Sunday 7th @ 15.30 & 19.30

A young girl is returned to her parents by her husband on her wedding night; a murder follows, but this narrative is no thriller. Before the crime is even committed, the whole village knows the where, when and why of it all. The story is of the community’s collective guilt; “Honor is love” —that’s what they all said.

The performance is an unusual combination of the use of storytelling technique and characters' first person accounts that are sometimes varying, some similar, some shaky, at times minutely detailed and some fading recollections of the honor killing. As the characters strain their memory or pour out a still open wound from the murder, the shadowy recounting of the past in Garcia Marquez's epic narrative reveals itself in magical and fantastic visuals.

L'entourloop | Banging classic hip-hop Ina Yardie style - Friday 22nd @ 20.30

L’Entourloop is a duo of beat-makers/Djs that claims a unifying and original sound.  After their first opus was sold-out within a few weeks, the two producers/diggers prepared a vitaminised “summermix”  which honors a very successful method!  As a result, murderous mashups, unstoppable bootlegs, all sprinkled with incisive scratches and spicy samples. The reggae fans will be surprised to find new versions of their classics and the Hip-hop aficionados will rediscover the brio of their favorite MC’s in a new light. This summermix thus honors Action Bronson, Nas, Skarra Mucci, Soom T, Jacob Miller, Alton Ellis, Method Man&Redman, Sista Nancy, Keith &Tex, Promoe… Enjoy without reserve! L’ENTOURLOOP, it is a great meeting between THE ARCHITECT and Deej’O. L’Entourloop claims an original and federative sound allying two music cousins: the Hip-hop and the reggae. In November 2014, the duo from St Etienne The Architect and Deejo, released their first EP «Back In Town» at Banzai Lab and proved the effectiveness of the merger between reggae «oldies» and hip-hop. Highly anticipated, the 2 titles travelled around amongst diehard hip-hop and reggae listeners!
Basically, The Architect, half of the Entourloop, is a digger who makes mash ups based on hip hop and reggae, his popularity on the web quickly enables him to evolve with Deejo, tours begin, keep coming and the stages are always on fire. The good news is that in 2015, the artists returned with an album, 13 titles and unexpected protagonists.
